How do you keep permed hair wavy overnight?

I have natural straight hair and I have gotten it permed 2 months ago. And since then I have been having a hard time keeping it wavy in the morning, as it gets straight after lying down. Usually i apply some water based sculpting lotion at night but it doesnt seem to work..
