is there a way to make my photoshop character painting in to a 3D model?

I’m wondering if there is some good way of doing this. Like maybe sculpting it on to a model somehow? If anyone has a link to a good tutorial for something like this it would be much appreciated. Specifically if you know how to do this in a medium that has output for flash sites.

Can’t create 3D models in Photoshop (not even CS3 Extended). You can in Adobe Illustrator CS3 though.
You can simulate a 3 dimensional look with some Photoshop filters such as Filter/Stylize/Emboss or styles such as Layer/Layer Style/Bevel & Emboss.

download sketchup freeware version
take a person material in to a design and put your photo shop character to material browser.
cover this 3d person with your material.
if you wanna learn more send me email. I will try to explain long way…
